Multiple OS
How many server Operating Systems could you select from?
An Operating System is the software that communicates with the hardware of a computer system and works as the intermediary between apps and the hardware, which includes peripheral devices such as a printer, a computer mouse or a keyboard. When you run software, it sends requests to the OS through an API (Application Program Interface) and the contact is done via a command line or a Graphical User Interface (GUI). A lot like a personal computer, hosting servers also use an Operating System that serves as a host for all the software installed on them, including script apps or server-side software such as a flash server, a VOIP server, and many others. A virtual machine can be generated on a physical one, so you will be able to install a guest OS on it and have a different system environment compared to the physical server host OS.

Multiple OS in VPS Web Hosting
We offer you three different Linux releases for the Operating System of our
virtual private servers - Debian, CentOS and Ubuntu. These are some of the safest and the most reliable OSs on the market and we offer all 3 rather than just one as we realize that you may want to install some software that has specific requirements for the Operating System it'll run on. The latter is due to the fact that each of the three Operating Systems has a large support community behind it and there are different software applications you could install on the web hosting server. Your OS selection will also determine exactly what hosting Control Panel can be set up on the VPS in case you wish to use one and for this reason we offer several Control Panels too. Should you decide that you need to have some other OS, our tech support team can quickly wipe the present one and set up the one that you need. In addition, we offer an optional service to keep the OS on your VPS updated weekly.

Multiple OS in Dedicated Servers Hosting
We offer three Operating Systems with our
dedicated server packages - CentOS, Ubuntu and Debian. They are all different Linux distributions and we offer them not only because they're free so they will not increase the cost of your new hosting server, but also because they are exceptionally secure and stable. Each one of them is backed up by a vast community of developers, so you'll be able to choose from a myriad of software packages that you could install on your server if the app that you want to use has certain requirements. The Operating System will also determine what hosting Control Panel you can use because the Control Panels that we offer run on particular OSs only and because we would like to give you as much adaptability as possible, we offer multiple OSs and multiple Control Panels. If you get a server with a given Operating System, we will change it upon request in the event that it turns out that you will need another one. We can also keep your OS updated weekly as part of our optional Managed Services upgrade.
